The Bride and Groom

How you met your fiancé? We worked at the same place… I caught him checking me out!

How did he propose? During a vacation to New York City in May 2013. We went on a horse carriage ride through Central Park, and we got off to take some pictures and that’s when he popped the question!

Your Bridal Gown & Accessories

Who was the wedding gown designer, and what was the style? Allure Romance style # 2618

What was your favorite Feature about your dress: the lace bodice and buttons down the back!

How did you know your dress was “the one”? I didn’t want to take it off and I couldn’t pick out a single flaw in myself or the dress!

Describe your experience at Pence & Panache: I am a Canadian bride, but my aunt lives in Texas, and I wanted her to be there when I shopped for my dress. Pence & Panache was so beyond welcoming and showed their excitement to have a Canadian bride! The ladies answered all my questions and were even able to accommodate me to come back in a second time to put my dress on again! My consultant Kelly was a dream to work with! She immediately greeted myself, aunt and mom and made us feel so welcome! My dress shopping experience was the most fun of the entire wedding process! Even after my dress was ordered Kelly checked in with me every few weeks to keep me up to date on when my dress would be in so I could time my flight back to Dallas from Canada accordingly! Pence & Panache is the place to go if you want to feel and be treated like a princess!

What accessories did you choose to accent your dress: I wore a crystal headband, my grandmothers pearl necklace for my ceremony and then a crystal statement necklace for my reception.

Your Wedding Day

Wedding Venue: Cochrane Ranche House in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada

What color palette did you select? Classic black and white with pops of various bright bold colours.

How do you describe the theme of your wedding? Kate Spade! It was classic timeless black and white with bright bold fun touches… I had black and white polka dot and striped linens, a candy bar and a doughnut bar.. My girls wore black dresses with bright coloured statement jewellery. My flowers were bright and bold and fun! I love Kate Spade!

What is your #1 tip for brides in the planning process? Don’t stress over the little things, your guests won’t remember what your table numbers were or centre pieces looked like… They will remember how beautiful you look and how much in love and happy you and your new husband are! Enjoy every moment because it goes by so fast!

Do you have any advice for brides who are still searching for their perfect bridal gown? Keep your mind open and be willing to try anything on! Something that looks boring on the hanger could be amazing on! And don’t stress about it! Have fun… There is the perfect dress for everyone out there!

What was your favorite part of your wedding day? Being announced as Mr. And Mrs Ryan Stoddart for the first time! It was the happiest most wonderful moment in my life!
